Our firm recently secured a $400,000 settlement for a client injured in a car accident.

Our client was a passenger in a vehicle when her driver, distracted by a cell phone, rear-ended the vehicle in front of them. The crash caused serious injuries, and she was transported by ambulance to the emergency room for treatment.

To help demonstrate the extent of her injuries, we obtained an MRI taken before the crash and compared it with imaging performed afterward. This comparison provided objective proof of a significant spinal injury caused by the collision.

Due to the severity of her injuries, our client ultimately required neck surgery. Fortunately, she made a strong recovery following the procedure.

Rather than pursuing pre-litigation settlement discussions, we made the strategic decision to file a lawsuit. Based on our experience and years of data, we anticipated the bad-faith tactics often used by the auto insurance company and believed litigation would put our client in the strongest position.

That strategy proved successful. After a little more than a year in litigation, the case settled for $400,000.
