Adam M. Smallow is the Managing Attorney at Adam Smallow Injury Lawyers, where he focuses on delivering exceptional client care through clear communication and access to high-quality medical providers. Originally from Philadelphia, he earned his undergraduate degree from The George Washington University and his J.D. from Rutgers School of Law. Adam leads the firm’s representation of injured victims throughout Maryland and the Mid-Atlantic in car and truck accidents, medical malpractice, and nursing home negligence cases. He is actively involved in community initiatives and autism awareness efforts in Harford County. Adam has been recognized by Super Lawyers, The National Trial Lawyers Top 100 Civil Plaintiff list, and Avvo’s Client Choice awards.

Julia C. Fuller is the Director of Operations at Adam Smallow Injury Lawyers, bringing more than 19 years of experience in personal injury, workers’ compensation, Social Security Disability, and estate planning. She focuses on improving efficiency, productivity, and firm-wide administrative processes. Julia holds an Associate’s Degree in Paralegal Studies from Harford Community College and is an active member of the Maryland Association for Justice. She is also FileVine certified and plays a key role in supporting the firm’s day-to-day operations.

Michelle Beckwith is a Senior Paralegal with over 30 years of experience in personal injury, workers’ compensation, medical malpractice, and criminal law. Michelle began her legal education at the Community College of Baltimore County and later completed the Jurisprudence Program at the University of Baltimore. Her extensive experience and client-focused approach make her a vital member of the firm.

Carolina I. Hernandez is a litigation paralegal with nine years of legal experience, specializing in personal injury litigation. She holds an Associate’s Degree in Paralegal Studies from the Community College of Baltimore County and a Bachelor of Science in Legal Studies from Stevenson University, where she graduated magna cum laude. Carolina manages all aspects of litigation cases, including drafting pleadings, maintaining deadlines, coordinating discovery, and preparing for mediations, depositions, and trials. She is known for her attention to detail and dedication to her clients.

Mikayla has been working in the legal field since her sophomore year of college and plans to attend law school in the future. Juan Pablo Betancur Cuartas is a relationship manager at Adam Smallow Injury Lawyers with more than five years of experience in the personal injury field. He has worked with law firms across Texas, New York, and New Jersey and holds a bachelor’s degree in political science with an emphasis in international relations. Juan Pablo oversees the pre-litigation process, including client communication, medical care coordination, property damage claims, and case management. He is committed to keeping clients informed, supported, and prepared throughout their cases.

PRE-LITIGATION ASSISTANT

Camila Arroyo is a pre-litigation legal assistant at Adam Smallow Injury Lawyers. She holds a bachelor’s degree in political science and postgraduate studies in cultural management and cultural policies. Camila assists the pre-lit team with claims reporting, letters of representation, policy limits requests and client concierge calls, and obtaining policy limits. Camila is dedicated to empowering her team through swift support and strong organizational skills. She also volunteers in her free time, supporting nonprofit organizations in comprehensive menstrual education in Colombia.
