Attorney Adam M. Smallow Gifts Turkey Dinners to Edgewood Families Before Thanksgiving

On Tuesday, November 24, 2020, attorney Adam M. Smallow gifted turkey dinners to Edgewood families before Thanksgiving, along with County Councilman Andre Johnson, reports The Baltimore Sun. Both Smallow and Johnson went around the Harford County community to hand out the donations to 10 families in need, and the donations contained turkeys, pies, some pantry items to make side dishes, and gift cards.

Smallow worked with Johnson, who represents Harford County’s District A, to get a list of names of people in need of some holiday cheer this season. To get the donation materials, Smallow also worked with other local businesses and organizations, including the Prince of Peace Catholic Church.

Smallow Brings Some Good Cheer to Families During a Tumultuous Year

Attorney Adam M. Smallow gifted turkey dinners to Edgewood families before Thanksgiving as a way to give back to his community. Smallow serves as the president of the Law Offices of Adam M. Smallow, which is based in Edgewood, Maryland. Always appreciative of how his community has supported his law firm, Smallow recognized that some residents may have been facing financial challenges this year and decided to lend support in return.

With such positive feedback from the families who received donations, Smallow also decided to give more dinner donations next year and declared he intends to “grow this thing.”

Edgewood Families Are Thankful for the Donations

Councilman Johnson reached out to 10 families in September and October to notify them that they were going to receive Thanksgiving dinners this year. One of those families, the Pleasant family, has faced several battles with illness and was grateful to see a turkey and other food items at their door.

The Pleasant family has expressed gratitude for the donations, and Amber told reporters, “I was kind of blown away, but at the same time, I know … our community always finds a way to support and help our family. When we got the phone call from Councilman Johnson, I knew that everything was going to be OK this holiday season.”

Other individuals who received Thanksgiving donations this year were Valencia Curtis and Cheree Edmonds. They were greeted at their door by Smallow and Johnson with tote bags in their hands, much to their surprise on Tuesday morning.

Curtis, in particular, was grateful for the donations, having just lost her daughter in August to a drug overdose. Unsure of whether she wanted to celebrate the holidays, she felt like she received a “push forward” from the donations to keep remembering that people love and care about her.
